The Final Animation!!!!

I will not talk about the parts of the animation that I plan to change as much as I want to. Sometimes you just have to let go of the film and step away for a bit. I loved making this piece and I plan to add to it over break to use more of my footage and lengthen it, maybe even get it to a place I could enter it in a few festivals.... But I guess I am getting ahead of myself- I'm just so excited! And AfterEffects has really started yo open itself up to me as I figured out ways to make smoke, fog, fire, motion paths, camera movements and transformations that worked for my piece. But enough talk, art should stand alone; for your viewing pleasure I present my final animation for FST333! Thank you Andre for helping me with all of my crazy computer problems and my general unfamiliarity with animation itself. I hope you like it : )

Well............

So this is my project but after rendering it there are some missing clips and I am trying to fix that now. But the computer I unwisely saved my stuff on has been taken every time try to fix those parts. So I am posting what did render in the meantime so at least I have something up. Me, oh, my, how does this keep happening?!

SOOOOOOOOO HAPPPYYYYYYYY

OMG!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE MY FILM, IT IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN I EVER THOUGHT IT COULD BE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED.... :) It was worth it after all. Now if I could just get AE to stop crashing on me when I render my files, I guess I have to take down the quality again.... But still, I cant get mad..... this is so thrilling! (Wow, I sound like the world's biggest nerd... but I guess I'm having a little nerd freak-out and thats gonna just have to be ok haha.)

So maybe I like animating....

After fixing the resolution issues for my animation I am having so much fun creating cool effects like fog and fire. And everything looks so great when you can have control over so many details. Now I cant imagine using Final Cut and After Effects separately. One picks up where the other program leaves off and together they allow you to do almost anything you can imagine! And boy I have an imagination.... I already have an idea to finally use some footage I have lying around that was unusable because I was missing two crucial shots. But problem solved! I know what im playing with over break :)

Venting

So of course being one of the least prepared to take a class on something I know essentially nothing about I insist on making my final consist of way too many parts and the quality of the images is making it logistically impossible to work on them and thus I sit here in the editing lab after approximately 16 hours trying to render my looping background and getting every error message known to man. I have literally started over on my file 19 times and as I sit here having a nervous breakdown due to frustration and general lack of sleep I have come to the conclusion that I will never make another animation if I can help if. This is just not for me.
